As part of the Appalachian Community Fund's role as a regional resource, from time to time we offer training opportunities, workshops, and convenings around social change issues.
Upcoming:
Grant Application One-Day Workshops and Discussions
- Abingdon, Virginia, 4-H Center, October 25th, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Huntington, West Virginia, Cabell County Library, October 30th, 9:30 AM -4:00 PM
- Jellico, Tennessee, Jellico Public Library building, Jellico Conference Room, October 31st, 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
ACF is offering three, one-day workshops and discussions. These workshops are open to any one applying for an ACF grant soon, anyone thinking about applying for an ACF grant this year or in the future, those currently receiving funding and applying again, and anyone interested in ACF and learning more about our grantmaking.
During the course of the day we hope to explain our funding issues and process, answer questions and clarify expectations. And we will ask you to share about your work. This is NOT a grant writing workshop. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about ACF and for ACF to learn more about your organization. Even if you have been receiving funding, you may want to consider attending in order to share about your own work and to deepen your understanding of what ACF is looking for when we make decisions about grants before you apply again. Attendance at a workshop is not a requirement to receive ACF funding.
There is no cost to register and the deadline for registering is three days before the date of the session you plan to attend. Please "register" by emailing Kathy at kathy@appalachiancommunityfund.org or calling 865-523-5783. You must register in order to attend. Directions and other information will be sent after we receive your registration. Lunch will be provided or reimbursed, gas expenses for those traveling will be reimbursed with receipts.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Gaye or Kathy at the ACF office 865-523-5783.
